Standard 8 students have completed their primary school education by taking the Primary School Leaving Certificate Examinations. Unesco statistics from 2010 record that 11% of Malawi children complete primary education. At Ganet’s Adventure School 29 girls and boys have now left the school after a very intense year of study. The charity has provided funds to enable the students to board at the school so that they have the best chance of success.
They wait for the exam results to see if they have qualified to apply for a four year course at secondary school.
In 2016 only 35% of successful candidates were offered secondary school places as places are limited.
We wish our learners good luck with their results and the applications to secondary school.
