Congratulations are in order – as of last week, the school’s director Gertrude Banda is also the secretary for Nkhata Bay District of ISAMA (Independent Schools Association of Malawi). This is testament to how well respected Gertrude is within the education community, and will help her to make links with other independent schools in Malawi.

The teachers have been reviewing the detailed results from the PSLCE exams, and have come up with an action plan to improve results further for 2016. The plan includes extra study time for the all important final year students, who will attend lessons through the Christmas holidays, and have extra classes at weekends and after school.

The school trip to Old Bandawe Mission which was postponed from July is going ahead on 18 November. The children who are going are busy practising songs to perform at the mission.

School closes for the Christmas holidays on 18 December, before which Standards 5 to 8 will take their Zonal Mock Exams.
