Our brand new classrooms are now complete, and waiting to be approved by the education officers in Nkhata Bay so that classes can begin! There is just one thing which the classrooms now need: a name. We need you to vote for your favourite.
Over 60 students have already registered for classes, which will begin as soon as approval is obtained. This is very exciting news, and a huge achievement for the school director, Gertrude Banda, and all those in Malawi and around the world who have contributed to and worked on the project.
Our partner school in the UK, Chaucer Infant and Junior School, have been thinking up names and we’ve narrowed it down to two finalists. The first is ‘Sunny Side’, an apt name for a classroom in the warm heart of Africa. The second is ‘Rainbow Arch’, a fitting way to symbolise the bond between the two schools.
Now we need you to vote on your favourite name, ‘Sunny Side’ or ‘Rainbow Arch’.
